Brentwood Home Sales March 2010

The Brentwood Real Estate Market saw a slight tick up in home sales in March, with 67 closed single family homes, up from 62 in February, but still well below the 90 sales in the same month last year. The average sales price for Brentwood was $335,000 in March, up from $299,000 in February and $301,000 in March of ‘09. The average price per square foot in Brentwood was $140 in March, compared to $125 a year ago.
The average days on market for the closed sales was 33 days in March , in line with the 32 days for February sales, but significantly less than the 50 days from closed sales a year ago. On average, Brentwood homes sold for 100% of their asking price in March, the same as last month, and the same period last year.
Inventory of Brentwood homes for sale is still very low, with 181 homes on the market in March, up however, from the 161 on the market in February, but well below the 291 homes we had on the market in March of ‘09.
