Discovery Bay Home Sales March 2010

The Discovery Bay Real Estate Market continued to see rising home sales in March, with 63 pending single family homes, up from 46 in February and just 33 sales in January. The average sales price for Discovery Bay was $305,000 in March, down from $404,000 in February and $377,000 in March of ‘09. The average price per square foot in Discovery Bay was $124 in March, compared to $132 a year ago.

The average days on market for the closed sales was just 20 days in March , way down from the 67 days for February sales, and significantly less than the 55 days for closed sales a year ago. On average, Discovery Bay homes sold for 100% of their asking price in March.

Inventory of Discovery Bay homes for sale is still very low, with 76 homes on the market in March, well below the 114 homes we had on the market in March of ‘09.
